Strategic Plan Development Stakeholders Survey
Jennifer Caufield

Over the past few weeks, Hamilton-Wenham stakeholders have had the opportunity to meet in focus groups to help our school district begin to shape its future direction. This work aims to develop a new 3-year strategic plan with an updated vision, mission statements, focus areas, goals, and objectives for the School District. This Strategic Plan is not about my mission and vision or goals for the school as your Superintendent, but it truly must encompass the areas we want to grow and improve upon as a School District.

At this time, we would also like to solicit additional input from the community to help update our Strategic Plan via this survey. I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to reflect upon and respond to this survey that will help shape the future of Hamilton-Wenham.

The survey link will be open for input until October 12, 2022.  Please share this link with other community stakeholders that you think may want a voice in this process.

Thank you for your participation,

HW Integrated Preschool Open House Nov. 16th
Jennifer Caufield

The Hamilton-Wenham Integrated Preschool provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, language, and pre-academic development of children ages three to five years old. Our goal is to prepare our preschool students for Kindergarten in one of our three Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District schools.

The Integrated Preschool Model provides inclusion of all children, those with special needs and those who are typically developing, with a well-structured setting and a rich, prekindergarten curriculum. Integration offers an ideal opportunity for children to work and play together, explore social relationships, and develop self-esteem.

Register for an Open House online at www.HamiltonWenhamPreschool.Weebly.com For more information, call Paige Menchini at 978-468-6589 or email preschool@hwschools.net

The HW Edfund Over & Above Award was awarded to HWRHS English Teacher, Tracy Stephens. This award is presented to a teacher, administrator, or student who best represents the mission of the Edfund. A grant writer who demonstrates leadership, innovation, and creativity.

2022 Over and Above Award

Every year the Edfund presents the Over and Above award to teachers, administrators, or a group of students who, through a grant request, best represents the mission of the Edfund.  A grant writer who demonstrates: Leadership, Innovation, and Creativity.

Tracy truly embodies these three qualities. She has shown leadership in identifying a real need in the social-emotional well-being of students within her school, and innovation in finding a creative solution to address this need. This could not have come at a more needed time.

From the beginning, the Edfund was blown away at:

  •  the thoroughness of her research on the benefits and impact of a therapy dog,

  • the dedication she showed in learning about the process and getting trained as a handler, and

  • the passion with which she spoke about wanting to support students who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, or the stress of being a teenager today.

Thank you for your dedication to making a difference in our student's lives.
